A late summer's evening ride taken late because of the heat, tucked in the pocket of time between day and night.
The man makes no effort to whisper. He talks about how ugly the building is, mentions something about “terrible people,” paces for a while, and then returns, hollering about how old the people in the audience are. His annoyed wife sits, trying to lure him to his seat. I wonder how I will refrain from throttling him if he should speak while my son plays notes.
